The five-day study tour to the trade and finance metropolis of London is a content and atmospheric highlight in the MBA Communication & Leadership calendar.
This year, the students visited a range of leading London communications experts, including Unilever, KPMG, Edelman, Amnesty International, and the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House. In various lectures, panels and workshops, current trends and findings from the field of communication were discussed. The students were accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ana Adi and Prof. Dr. Christian Heinrich as well as Katrin Seidel, Head of Study Management at the Quadriga University of Applied Science Berlin.
“The time spent in London for the exchange with international communication professionals on current topics and trends was very inspiring”, reports Prof. Dr. Ana Adi, Professor of Public Relations and Corporate Communications at the Quadriga University of Applied Science Berlin. “I took a lot away from the conversations. I gained completely new perspectives for my work, teaching and research. At the same time, we have strengthened our relations with our partners in the UK, fitting with the European sense.”
With the professors and the speakers on site, the students of the MBA Communication & Leadership programme discussed various topics such as “Campaigning for Human Rights and the Importance of Branding for Global NGOs” at Amnesty International and “Purpose-driven Leadership and Communication” at Unilever House in London.
“Visiting such a diverse set of companies, associations and agencies has illustrated the entire range of the communication field and given a comprehensive picture of our profession,” says Martin Camphausen, MBA Communication & Leadership student. “The high point for me was hearing from Brian Bannister, Head of Global Communications at KMPG.”
