The particularities of communication via platforms and networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Alexa, Google Home and with the help of intermediaries such as influencers as well as with own content offerings are discussed and the associated change of the way of thinking from push or outbound communication to relationship and demand-oriented pull or inbound communication is conveyed on the basis of case studies. Current and expected possibilities of data analysis, artificial intelligence and data-based marketing are presented. On the basis case studies the basic principles of "Programmatic Communication" and of "conversational Interfaces" are explained and the consequences for the marketing conception and the function in marketing are worked out.
