Prof. Dr. Susanne Femers-Koch

Prof. Dr. phil. Susanne Femers-Koch studied psychology at the Technical University of Berlin. From 1989 to 1992 she worked at Forschungszentrum Jülich in the program group “Man, Environment, Technology” in the program “Risk Communication Research”.
She completed her doctorate in philosophy on the effects of risk information at the Technical University of Berlin in 1992. She then worked for seven years as a communications consultant in the private sector at Kohtes & Klewes, Bonn, and Medical Relations, Langenfeld.
From 1998-2002 she took over a professorship for “Communication and Business Psychology” at the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Since 2002 she has held a professorship for “Business Communication” at the HTW Berlin, Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft, in the course of studies of the same name.
Femers-Koch is a personnel and business coach. Her teaching, research and consulting activities focus on public relations, advertising, risk communication, presentation and moderation, communication and business psychology as well as compliance communication.
