Carsten Tilger has been Head of Corporate Communications at Henkel since the beginning of 2010 and is responsible for external and internal corporate communications, corporate branding, CSR and reputation management worldwide.
He began his professional career in 1997 as press officer at Hoechst AG in Frankfurt. Following the merger of Hoechst with Rhone-Poulenc to form Aventis SA, based in Strasbourg, France, he was appointed Head of Global Media Relations in 2000 and Head of Corporate Communications in 2003. Before taking over Corporate Communications at Syngenta AG in Basel, Switzerland, in 2006, he was Director and Member of the Executive Board at Kabel Deutschland in Munich, where he headed Corporate Communications.
He studied economics in Mainz and Göttingen and completed his journalistic training at the Henri Nannen School in Hamburg.
