Anke Schmidt is Vice President Corporate Communications & Government Relations at Beiersdorf since September 2020.
She studied Romance languages and literature, business administration and politics in Hamburg and Nantes/France. After joining BASF in 1996 and performing communications tasks in various units of the Corporate Public Relations department, Anke Schmidt became Senior Manager Corporate Communications Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, in 2000; from 2004 to 2008 she was Head of Corporate Communications Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. In 2008, she returned to Ludwigshafen as Head of Corporate Communications for the BASF Group. In 2011, she was Senior Vice President of the Senior Project Employee Development BASF Group and in 2013 took over the Global Talent Management unit.
From 2016 to 2020, Anke Schmidt was responsible for Corporate Communications & Government Relations at BASF Group.
